3D ART

3D Design Beginning/Advanced

This is a fully physical, hands‑on sculpture course—no screens, no digital modeling—where you’ll create three-dimensional art using recycled objects, plaster, cardboard, wire, clay, and more. We place a strong emphasis on using reclaimed and upcycled materials to promote environmental awareness and sustainable art-making practices. You’ll learn additive, subtractive, and mixed-media construction techniques while developing spatial design skills—exploring form, texture, balance, structure, and volume—as you experience your sculptures from every angle.  No prior experience or digital tools required. This class is ideal for anyone passionate about experimenting with hands-on 3D art in a studio environment while supporting eco-conscious practices.

Filmmaking

Filmmaking provides an immersive experience in storytelling through the lens. In this hands-on course, students practice the elements of story, preproduction, performance, videography, editing, sound and effects. In addition, students put those skills to work in creating their own scenes and short films with the option to enter various film competitions throughout the year. Filmmaking is the capstone course in the CTE Arts, Media and Entertainment pathway. Completion of the Media Production concentrator course is required. Upon completion of both courses, students will have the skills to pursue a career in online media, content creation, visual marketing, television and film.
