Human Resources

The Human Resources function at Steele Canyon High School plays a vital role in supporting our mission to provide a high-quality, student-centered education. HR is dedicated to recruiting and retaining exceptional educators and staff, promoting a safe and inclusive work environment, and ensuring that all employment practices align with district policies and state education standards.

Key Areas of Focus:

  • Staff Recruitment & Hiring:
    Partnering with district leadership to attract, interview, and hire highly qualified teachers, administrators, and support staff who are passionate about student success and equity in education.

  • Employee Support & Relations:
    Fostering a professional and respectful workplace culture through consistent communication, conflict resolution, and advocacy for staff needs and concerns.

  • Onboarding & Professional Development:
    Coordinating orientation programs and ongoing professional learning opportunities to support continuous growth and instructional excellence.

  • Compliance & Credentialing:
    Ensuring all staff meet California credentialing requirements and that employment practices comply with applicable labor laws, education codes, and district policies.

  • Benefits & Wellness:
    Administering comprehensive employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness resources to support the physical and mental well-being of staff.
